6”2’ • 230 pounds

Position : defensive line

Born August 13, 2008 in Laval, Quebec, Canada, Zachary Vézina is a football player who played as an offensive lineman from 2016 to 2021. Starting in 2022, he moved to the defensive line, the same position he plays today.

It all began at the age of 7 in civilian life with the “guépards de mirabel” team in 2016 at atom level.

In 2018, at the mosquito level, he won his first Montreal-Metro league championship and the [MVP] title.

At age 11, he stood out at the Centurions selection camp at Polyvalente de Deux-Montagnes, carving out a place for himself on the offensive line. His junior year of high school was cut short by the COVID 19 pandemic.

He began his second year, this time in the Cadet category. It was a year full of challenges and learning that greatly contributed to his strength of character and his constant desire to surpass himself.

The third year of school was a turning point, a time of great change. All the effort he had put in during the off-season paid off, and he arrived at training camp in extraordinary shape. The coaches decided to transfer him to the defensive line.

A natural leader, he was named captain of the defensive brigade in his second cadet year (3rd year at school).

Despite his lack of experience in this position, he was an important asset to the team, which was crowned champion and won the “Bol D’or” at the Cadet D2 provincial final held in Trois-Rivières on November 13, 2022. The final pitted the Scorpions from Armand-Corbeil high school against the Centurions from Polyvalente Deux-Montagnes.

This year, in 2024, for his final Juvenile year, Zachary joined the football and academic program with the Voltigeurs at Collège Bourget in Rigaud, Division 1.

As a member of the 2025 cohort, he will be a graduating student. He certainly wants to pursue his passion for football as a defensive player, either by earning a place at a prep school in the U.S. or at a Canadian CEGEP while studying management.

Other highlights

Keen to improve his skills, he took part in the 2019 Montreal Carabins football camp.

To date, he has attended the TEAM Québec selection camp as well as the L.L.L .

In March 2023, he took part in a week-long camp with the Stingers at Concordia University.

In the summer of 2022, he attended the summer camp at Syracuse University in New York.

School Path

At school, he applies the same rigor as in sports. Having already achieved good results, he always strives to surpass himself. He takes his academic career very seriously, and is aiming for graduate studies in management
